State of the Art Tools

We use a water bath, low-RPM patented honing stone for sharpening. In addition,  power wire brush wheels and buffing wheels with jeweler’s rouge  bring the finish of your tool to a suitable shine and lustre. We treat every edge tool with loving care and respect. Knives, shears, scissors, pruners, are disassembled, lubricated, and reassembled as needed and restored to better-than-new condition.

If you can’t remember the last time it was sharpened, call me. I know how difficult it is to find a sharpening service. For pennies those old scissors, knives and garden tools can be made better than new.

How we got our name

Some years ago we went to our vacation rental home at the Delaware shore on the bay. As we were setting up the kitchen, our grandson was helping unpack our kitchen utensils and putting them away. At one point, he said, “Oh, Poppie, they have kitchen knives here in the drawer.” So I asked him if they were sharp. He promptly drew a practiced thumb across the edge and replied, “They’re okay, I guess…but they’re not Poppie-sharp.”
